Seniors, you should have information about our first graduation project. The information should have gotten to you via your English Class. If you're not enrolled in an English class, then you should have received an invite to a special class from Mr. Dent. We hope you will engage in this project. The plan is to take all of your individual projects and to combine them into a Class of 2020 Guide. We hope this project will be something special for you and your family. The finished project will be published online for friends and relatives to see. Additionally, each senior will get a color printed copy.

Project 2 - The Class Officers are already working on project #2. Be on the lookout for information regarding this activity on May 1st.

Project 2 Update (May 1) - Special Thanks to KFC and After Prom for leading this effort!

Each senior is having a yard sign printed by PDQ. We expect to have the signs by the end of next week (May 8?). We will display all of the signs on the practice field. We would like to have all of the signs displayed for at least 24 hours. After that, we will allow each senior to take his/her sign. When picking up signs, seniors will also be given a 7" x 7" piece of wood that we would like them to decorate. It can be decorated however you like but must be school appropriate. We will have a "ceremony" to attach each wood piece to a structure built on the practice field (update: ceremony will be in front of gym) on May 16th. Further instructions will be given when the yard signs come in (update: yard signs expected 5/11 or 5/12)

Project 2 Update (May 8th)

The class officers have been working hard on our phase 2 plans (see above). We will release detailed instructions on Monday (5-11). The plan will include details about the ceremony on May 16th. Please keep the morning and early afternoon (11 AM) open on that day. Students will need to come by CHS next Tuesday to pick up a wood tile to decorate. Information regarding the wood tile, and more will be included in the detailed instructions released Monday.

Project 3 - The Graduation Ceremony - As you know, CHS posted two possible dates for a ceremony. We will seek input regarding the ceremony options during the last week of school (May 15). It is our hope that all of us will have a clearer picture regarding the trends in data and will be able to anticipate or project the guidelines we may have to work within if we decide to go with one date or the other. We are considering all options at this time and will present those to our students/parents. The tentative plan is to hold a ceremony at the Garfield County Expo Center on June 20th at 2 PM. Students will need to keep the date open and plan to attend a rehearsal on the morning of June 20th.

Update - June 1

The rescheduled graduation ceremony is set! June 20th at 2 PM will be the official time. We will hold the ceremony at the Chisholm Trail Expo Center. We will have a rehearsal at 10:00 AM on the 20th at the Expo. More details will be released this week.

June 18 -

Wow! We are almost there!

Seniors, Be sure to be at the Expo Center by 10 AM for practice. Regular (school appropriate) clothes are fine for practice. We will stream the ceremony on Chisholm TV (chisholmlonghorns.tv). Also, Skye Weber has agreed to be the school photographer for the ceremony. She will be posting pics on her site and you are welcome to place orders directly with her.
