If you are interested in the Chisholm Virtual Academy for your child, please email me at  dsmith@chisholm.k12.ok.us   Keep in mind that the total virtual option is more of an "on-your-own" parent-driven platform.  Students will log on and take an initial assessment to determine where they need to begin. Pathblazer is just reading and math for Kinder and 1st, and reading, math, social studies and science for grades 2-5.  Virtual teachers will be from our district, but they will not provide direct instruction. They will monitor your child's progress and reassign skills that need more practice.  Since the program is customized to your child's level, the virtual teacher will also assign the grade level skills needed to stay on track with their peers. The virtual teacher will do check-ins with your child through Google Meet.   Pathblazer is a one semester commitment, so you will have the option to bring your kiddo back to school in January or finish out the year with Pathblazer.  We hope to get started the week of August 17th.  We are currently waiting on Edgenuity to assign log-ins and finalize the setup process.
